Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus Specs Leak Ahead of Launch
At this time, we already know that Samsung Unpacked 2020 event for the Galaxy Note 20 series will happen on August 5. On top of releasing three models of its popular Note phones, Samsung will also introduce the 2nd-gen of Galaxy Fold. Overshadowed by the two mobile devices, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus will also join the launch party — the company’s upcoming flagship tablets.
Thanks to an exclusive leak by SamMobile, we now know that the Tab S7 Plus will be using the newly-announced Snapdragon 865+, meaning it’s getting an overclocked version of the SD 865 and 5G connectivity. In case you haven’t realized yet, this is the first time Samsung will be launching a Plus variant of its popular flagship tablet. The Tab S7 Plus is said to feature 12.4″ AMOLED with 2800 x 1752 resolution. An in-display fingerprint scanner is to be expected, although unsure whether it’s optical or ultrasonic type. While the S-pen will support Bluetooth connection, it’s uncertain whether it’ll support gestures and the new pointer feature on Note 20.
The Tab S7 Plus will come in either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage. Support for LTE and microSD slot is present but, mmWave is not. A total of three cameras is to be expected as well, featuring 13MP+5MP on the back and 8MP on the front. The battery is one of the biggest upgrades compared to the original Tab S6, now with 1090mAh. Rumor has it that it might support 45W fast charging. Lastly, the tablet will run on One UI 2.5 based on Android 10.
Although we don’t have any price info yet regarding the Tab S7 series, the Plus variant is expected to be priced nearly P50,000, with the Tab S7 around P40,000.
