The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday that Philippine banks now accept ePhilIDs for bank transactions!

PSA stated in a memo that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will allow banks and non-bank financial institutions under its supervision to accept and use the ePhilID as sufficient proof of identity.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) released statements and advisories stating that the ePhilID can serve as a legitimate proof of identity. This includes the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS). Banks Now Accept ePhilIDs
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) recognizes the ePhilID as a valid government-issued ID for passport processing, including passport applications and renewals. This includes applying for a passport or renewing an old one.
The government will distribute more ePhilIDs by utilizing a plaza-style and house-to-house distribution system, and by accelerating the printing and production of PhilIDs.
PSA is testing a website where registered users can download a PDF version of their ePhilID to their mobile devices.
