Apple Unveils New iPads

The new iPad Pro with M2 chips is no longer a big deal. Apple just announced this year’s models, and both the 10th-generation iPad and the latest iPad Pro get some design updates that make them look sleeker.

The M2 promises to be faster and work better, and it will let you record ProRes videos. The new iPad Pro has 11-inch, and 12.9-inch Liquid Retina displays that can be as bright as 1600 nits and as fast as 120Hz ProMotion. The 12MP Ultra-Wide angle is on the front camera.

There are two cameras on the back: a 12MP Wide camera and a 10MP Ultra-Wide camera. It also supports both Wi-Fi 6E and 5G. Best part? It works with Apple Pencil from the second generation and a Magic Keyboard.

On the other hand, the 10th-generation iPad gets a little fancier. First, it has more than one color, and the TouchID is still on it. And Bionic A14 chip, and a step up from the A13 of the last generation. The camera has also been moved to the side, which makes sense because that’s where most people put it down. If you have an Apple Pencil from the first generation, it will work with this iPad.

For the first time, the basic iPad will have a USB-C port that can be used to charge it and connect to other accessories. This device still works with the Apple Pencil from the first generation because it has a Lightning connector.

Yes, if you want to charge the Lightning pencil with your new iPad, you will need an adapter. If you’ve never had an Apple Pencil, Apple is now selling them with this adapter.

But if you already have a Pencil, a USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter will cost you $9. You plug in the Pencil on one side, and on the other, you plug in a USB-C cable. And it looks like this:

The iPad can connect to Wi-Fi 6 networks, and you can also get a cellular iPad that can connect to 5G networks.

Apple has made a new Magic Keyboard Folio that has a trackpad and is part of its line of accessories. It has full-size keys that move 1 mm and a row of function keys that can be used to control the volume, media, and more.

The Magic Keyboard Folio is an exciting accessory because it comes in two parts. At the bottom of the device, you can hook up the keyboard. The back cover with the stand is a separate piece that sticks to the back of the device with magnets. Users can fold the keyboard behind the appliance when not in use.

The Magic Keyboard Folio costs $249 (approx. ₱15,000), which is a lot of money for a keyboard, and the cover is worth $79 (₱4,600) without a keyboard.

Today is the first day you can order the new iPad, and you can get it on October 26.
