Amazfit just unveiled its most costly smartwatch to date, the Amazfit Falcon. It is a robust watch, as you could have guessed from the name, but it is more than that. It is the brand’s first GPS multisport luxury watch, and it boasts excellent build quality. Because of these and other qualities, it can easily compete with the top hardcore smartwatches on the market. When it comes to professional smartwatches, Garmin is unquestionably one of the best brands available. Garmin’s most recent series is the Fenix 7 series, with the vanilla version priced in the same range as the new Huami watch. That is why it is time for a thorough comparison of these two wearables. So, here’s a comparison of the key features of the Amazfit Falcon vs the Garmin Fenix 7.

Design & Build

The Amazfit Falcon’s strongest attribute is undoubtedly its build quality. It is made of tough materials including TC4 titan and sapphire glass, the latter of which protects the screen from scratches and drops. It is waterproof up to 20 ATM, making it one of the greatest water-resistant smartwatches ever. The strap is constructed of liquid silicon, and the smartwatch has passed fifteen military drops tests. Although it has a higher build quality than the Garmin Fenix 7 Series, the Garmin is still an excellent robust watch. The Garmin Fenix 7 is constructed of stainless steel, stainless steel with PVD finish, or titan with DLC treatment, depending on the version. This smartwatch has glass that has been chemically hardened. All variants in the series meet American military specifications and can tolerate harsh heat conditions as well as water. The Garmin Fenix 7 is waterproof to 10 ATM and available in a variety of sizes ranging from 47 mm to 51 mm, although the vanilla version is 47 mm.

Display

The Amazfit Falcon put on the most amazing show. It has a diagonal of 1.28 inches, a high resolution of 416 × 416 pixels, a pixel density of 326 PPI, and a brightness of 1,000 nits. It has one of the greatest smartwatch panels ever seen. The Garmin Fenix 7 has a transflective color display with a diagonal of 1.3 inches and a resolution of 260 x 260 pixels, which is not as good as its competitor. So, you know what to get if you want the best display.

Specs & Software

The Amazfit Falcon includes a number of noteworthy characteristics. It can import maps and it supports the proprietary algorithm Zepp Coach, which employs artificial intelligence to recommend activities based on the user’s experience and physical condition. It uses the Zepp OS proprietary operating system and can track up to 159 sports with the display switched on for the duration of the session. The workout data may be linked to third-party applications like Apple Health, Google Fit, Adidas Running, and Strava. The Garmin Fenix 7 includes military geolocation technologies that allow it to access more satellite bands in order to receive a faster and more accurate FIX even when traditional GPS signals are not available. It features the Sync configuration, which allows you to tweak the watch’s settings straight from the phone and instantly sync them after each modification. The Garmin Fenix 7 also has Real Time Stamina, HIT Workouts, and a Visual Race Predictor.

Sensors & Connectivity

The Amazfit Falcon and Garmin Fenix 7 both include GPS capabilities, as well as a heart rate sensor and SpO2 sensor to monitor blood oxygen levels. They include all of the standard sensors found on most modern smartwatches, as well as an ANT+ connection from Garmin.

Battery

The Amazfit Falcon features a 500 mAh battery that may last up to 14 days on a single charge with regular usage and can be completely charged in two hours at most. The Garmin Fenix 7’s battery may last up to 11 days on a single charge in smartwatch mode, but up to 40 days in Expedition GPS mode.

Price

The Amazfit Falcon costs around $600 (around Php34,400), while the Garmin Fenix 7 Series costs approximately $700 or roughly Php40,139 (this price is referred to as the vanilla version, but there are other variants such as the Solar one with solar charging, with more expensive prices).
