Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G and 5G will Officially use Snapdragon 865 as Chipset

It is now official! Samsung would be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset for its entire Galaxy S20 FE range, which includes both 4G and 5G units.

This was spotted on a Swedish Samsung website that the Galaxy S20 FE which has the model number SM-G780G was listed. This has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage which will also include an 8GB and 256GB model variation.

The only unit that is being powered by a Snapdragon 865 is the Galaxy S20 FE with 5G connectivity and this was possible thanks to the Qualcomm X55 modem while the 4G version of the Galaxy S20 FE uses an Exynos 990 as its chipset and was also considered the cheapest. With no Exynos units going on sale, it seems that both the 5G variant and 4G will be quite a bit expensive.

Besides its difference in network speeds, the Galaxy S20 FE will be featuring similar chipsets as mentioned earlier. It will also showcase the same specs as it would pack a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED that has a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera setup at the back, 4,500mAh capacity, and an IP68 certification.
