Samsung has recently filed a patent in South Korea, the US, and Europe regarding the name Armor Frame. The description provided didn’t state any information other than it would be used for smartphones.
Rumors state that the materials would be using is either made of carbon or titanium, making it lighter and stronger compared to aluminum. This will also prove to not lose its rigidness over time.
This is perfect timing as it is rumored that Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Fold2. This would even provide the smartphone the needed rigidness and less weight. But this may be for another product as patents don’t necessarily come with the final product.
