Design

Despite being an older device, the design of the Xiaomi 12 Pro is far more appealing than that of the Xiaomi 12T Pro. It is totally made of quality materials, such as glass for the back, which is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus, and aluminum for the frame. It also features a better screen-to-body ratio because the display covers about 90% of the front panel, whereas the Xiaomi 12T Pro has larger bezels. The latest flagship, on the other hand, has the IP53 certification, making it dust and splash-resistant.

Display

The Xiaomi 12 Pro’s display is actually superior to that of its smaller sister. It has an AMOLED panel with a size of 6.73 inches and a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels that can display up to one billion colors. It features LTPO technology, which allows for an adjustable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz, as well as HDR10+ certification, Dolby Vision compatibility, a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Xiaomi 12T Pro features a lower-quality display, but it is still a highly fascinating screen because it is the first to have a 1.5K resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. We’re talking about a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 68 billion colors, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, HDR10+ certification, Dolby Vision compatibility, a peak brightness of 900 nits, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both phones include Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers for a better audio experience.

Camera

When it comes to main cameras, the Xiaomi 12T Pro outperforms the competition owing to the inclusion of the world’s first 200MP camera for a mobile device. However, the supplementary sensors are just of the midrange variety: an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro shooter. The secondary sensors in the Xiaomi 12 Pro are of the flagship class: a telephoto lens with 50MP resolution and 2x optical zoom, and another 50MP sensor for ultrawide pictures. The 12 Pro also has a superior front-facing camera with a 32MP resolution.

Specs & Performance

The Xiaomi 12T Pro’s hardware configuration wins the comparison due to the presence of a more powerful processor. This device’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor is an improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor featured in the Xiaomi 12 Pro. It is a 4 nm chipset with an octa-core architecture comprised of a Cortex X2 CPU operating at a maximum frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 2 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. Instead, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has lower core frequencies. The chipsets are coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage in both situations. These phones were introduced at separate times, but they both run Android 12 out of the box, with MIUI 13 customizations.

Battery

If you want the most battery life on a single charge, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is the way to go. It has a larger 5000 mAh battery and, given that the other components are not much changed, it is almost certain that it will deliver greater battery life. The Xiaomi 12 Pro, on the other hand, is the only one with wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging.

Price & Availability

With a listing price of $1100 (roughly Php64,769) for the European market, the Xiaomi 12 Pro debuted on the worldwide market. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is significantly less expensive, with a starting price of $899 (around Php52,949). So the 12T Pro offers greater value for money, but the Xiaomi 12 Pro is a superior phone altogether. It has an improved display, a better camera, and wireless charging.
