YouTube TV has unveiled a new feature allowing subscribers to enjoy multiple programs simultaneously on smaller devices, expanding beyond just big TV screens.
Initially rolling out on iOS and iPadOS, Android users can anticipate its arrival shortly. However, this delay may disappoint Android users eager to catch multiple March Madness games while on the move.
Named Multiview, this feature permits users to watch up to four cable channels simultaneously, but it’s currently limited to sports events. To access Multiview, subscribers on iOS and iPadOS will need to update to version 8.11 or later. However, certain restrictions apply regarding supported devices and content availability.
Although Multiview is presently confined to select sports channels, there’s hope that Google will extend support to more channels, enabling viewers to blend their favorite sports matches with other entertainment.
Once the feature launches on Android, users can utilize it on their Galaxy smartphones or tablets, with Samsung’s smart TVs already enjoying this functionality.
As YouTube TV expands its Multiview feature, are you eager to experience the convenience of watching multiple programs simultaneously on your preferred device?
