Xiaomi Launches Mi 11 with In-Box 55W Charger

Xiaomi announced yesterday the launch of the flagship Mi 11 phone for the global market, with Europe getting the first dibs before the rest of the world. Unlike in China, though, the 55W GaN fast charger is included in the box. However, the price of the Mi 11 is significantly higher than before. But to be fair, Europe has higher tax fees than the rest. As such, Xiaomi’s flagship phone in 2021 now starts at €749(~Php43,400) for the 8GB/128GB model, with the 8GB/256GB setting you back at €799(~Php46,300).

To recap, Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first Snapdragon 888-phone in the world. It packs major improvements over the Snapdragon 865 Series of last year. The company is also touting the 108MP triple-cameras of the device to be “professional-grade DSLR or mirrorless cameras.” They allow you to shoot in wide, ultrawide, and zoom without little-to-no loss of quality. But what really makes the cameras “pro” are the video-night mode technology with RAW-level noise reduction, six on-click AI cinema features for out-of-this-world creative shots, Pro Time-lapse mode, and HDR10+ recording for brighter and better video quality.

As for gamers out there, Xiaomi stated that it’s going to work with game producer MiHoYo, the maker of Genshin Impact, for a better and smoother gaming experience through strategic collaboration. More details around this partnership will be revealed very soon, so stay tuned.

Regarding local availability and pricing, Xiaomi plans to reveal them “soon.” But if you can’t wait, you can purchase the China ROM for Php38,990.
