XBOX Backward Compatibility on PC Unveiled

Microsoft recently unveiled the XBOX Backward Compatibility on PC.

The XBOX Backward Compatibility on PC aims to make classic XBOX games from the past across PC and handhelds, including the ROG XBOX Ally and XBOX Ally X, easier to play.

The new feature is now in early release and is available on Windows PC, ASUS ROG Xbox Ally, and Xbox Ally X. The early release starts with four classic original XBOX games:

  • BLiNX: The Time Sweeper
  • Conker: Live and Reloaded
  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
  • Fuzion Frenzy

Apart from making them available on PC, these games have new features that improve the PC experience while maintaining the original gameplay. Players can now customize graphics settings, including up to 4x resolution upscaling, VSync support, fullscreen and windowed display modes, anisotropic filtering, enhanced anti-aliasing, and more. They also include customizable language and audio settings.

The company also said that they are planning to add more features to XBOX Backward Compatibility games in the future.

These games are now available for purchase on PC and are also included with all XBOX Game Pass plans. Players who already own a digital license for these games on console can have it carried over to their PC or handheld.
