The Windows 10X has been officially been canceled by Microsoft. This was announced in a blog post which primarily talks about the rollout of the Windows 21H1 update.
The company would be combining the Windows 10S features within Windows and other products. Some features have already been placed on the Windows Insider preview builds like the new app container technology in Microsoft Defender Application Guard, and enhanced Voice Typing experience, and a modernized touch keyboard with optimized key sizing, sounds, colors, and animations.
Originally, Windows 10X is a deconstructed Windows 10 which will be perfect for dual-screen devices, like the Surface Neo. However, Microsoft updated it for single-screen budget laptops which a demo was also showcased last January.
As of the moment, Microsoft is rolling out its latest 21H1 update for Windows 10 which would be a minor update, and a huge chunk will be coming in October this year.
