More and more 5G phones are starting to populate the market as Vivo announced Vivo Y73s with next-gen mobile connectivity for only CNY 1998(~Php14,000). What’s more, the company’s affordable 5G phone comes equipped with an HDR10-compatible display for brighter and more colorful picture quality. Unfortunately, we have yet to see a MediaTek-based 5G phone in the country, so availability for the Y73s remains to be China only.
In terms of the spec sheet, Vivo Y73s looks like your typical mid-range phone in 2020. It packs a 48MP sensor with 8MP ultrawide and 2MP portrait lenses to make for a triple-cameras setup. It’s a bit disappointing, though, to see a teardrop notch for the 16MP selfie camera. On the flip end, video recording supports 4K resolution, EIS, and 10x digital zoom. There’s a 4100mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C and 8GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Vivo Y73s is available in Silver Moon and Black Mirror colors.
