Vivo X60 and X60 Pro to Go Official on December 29th, Here’s How They Look

Although Vivo X50 and X50 Pro just went on sale in the Philippines a little over three months ago, the first gimbal-boasting smartphone appears to be on the way out as Vivo is set to release the X60 and X60 Pro on December 29th. With less than two weeks to wait, we’re surprised with official renders from Vivo’s online store in China.

Starting with the X60, it’s going to come in white, black, and gradient colorway with a centered-pinhole selfie and a large camera module on the back. The same goes for the X60 Pro, which exclusively comes with a curved screen but no white color.

Aside from the thin and light build, the X60 series will also boast a triple-camera setup, with a periscope lens and most likely OIS for the Pro model. The main sensor is claimed to be 48MP, with two 13MP lenses for ultrawide and depth. The Pro model will use an 8MP lens to offer a 5x optical zoom and 60x digital.

Powering the two devices, however, is the Exynos 1080 SoC with 5G capability. The Samsung chipset is positioned as the premium mid-range option in 2021, with the Exynos 2100 as the flagship from the company. Nevertheless, we’re still looking at a flagship-level performance that goes head-to-head with Snapdragon 865.

If we’re to compare the X60 with its predecessor, the biggest difference is the chipset, at least when excluding the X50 Pro+ that came with Snapdragon 865. Both X50 and X50 Pro were rocking Snapdragon 730 and 765G, respectively.
