TP-Link Unveils Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra Wi-Fi 8 Devices

TP-Link has unveiled its first Wi-Fi 8 devices at IFA 2026. The new devices are THE Archer 8 Ultra router and Deco 8 Ultra mesh Wi-Fi system.

These devices are based on the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn Wi-Fi 8 standard.

The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 router with aggregate wireless speeds of up to 19 Gbps and support for 10 Gbps wired connectivity. It features 18 internal antennas designed to improve coverage throughout the home.

Meanwhile, the Deco 8 Ultra is a tri-band mesh Wi-Fi system offering aggregate wireless speeds of up to 22 Gbps and 10 Gbps wired connectivity. According to TP-Link, a three-pack can cover up to 9,800 square feet and support more than 200 connected devices.

Both devices feature TP-Link’s Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine, which uses technologies such as Enhanced Long Range, Distributed Resource Units, and Non-Primary Channel Access to help improve coverage, manage network congestion, and reduce interference.

The company also plans to expand its Wi-Fi 8 lineup with the Deco 8 mesh system in Q1 2027, followed by the Roam 8 travel router, range extenders, and adapters in Q2 2027. Availability and specifications may vary by region.

TP-Link will reveal the full details of its Wi-Fi 8 lineup during an online launch event on September 30, 2026. Pre-orders for the Archer 8 Ultra are also set to begin in select regions on the same date. Stay tuned!
