Thin Bezel Higher Prices Are Possible for iPhone 15 Pro

This year’s lineup of iPhone 15 Pro phones is likely to have some big changes, but the prices may also go up.

Mark Gurman, a writer for Bloomberg, confirmed a few rumors that have been going around all year about what to expect when Apple announces the next iPhone lineup in a little over a month.

Gurman says that both of the new Pro models will have titanium frames instead of stainless steel frames. This will make them harder and lighter. Thanks to a new display technology, the black borders around their screens will be about a third smaller and the bezels will be shorter. As was already said, the mute switch will be replaced by a button that can be changed, and the Lightning port will be replaced by a USB-C port.

All of that might cost something, though. Gurman says that he expects prices to go up outside of the US and that he wouldn’t rule out a price increase in the US. That comes after news came out earlier this week and an expert said prices for the Max model could increase up to $200 (PHP10,000).

Gurman talks about two other big changes that Apple’s devices will get this year. The notch is expected to be removed from the normal iPhone model in favor of the Dynamic Island, making it more like the Pro models. Gurman also says that the S9 processor in the next Apple Watch will have a fairly large performance boost. This will be the first noticeable speed boost since 2020.

Usually, Apple shows off its new iPhones and Apple Watches around the middle of September. They will have to compete with Samsung’s new phones that can fold and flip, which were just updated this week.
