The Magical World of Disney+ Is Coming to the Philippines!

The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) Ltd. said today that its highly anticipated streaming service, Disney+, will be available in the Philippines starting November 17.

When Disney+ comes out in the Philippines, people will be able to watch a growing library of global, regional, and Asian language content. This includes blockbuster movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, award-winning Pixar animation, and Korean content under the Star brand that features BTS and other top Asian stars.

Star also has thousands of hours of general entertainment content made by Disney Television Studios (ABC Signature and 20th Television), FX Productions, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and other companies. Star has popular movies and TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Murders in the Building, Dopesick, The Bear, The Simpsons, and The Kardashians, all of which have won Emmys. It Star will also have original shows with producers and directors from the Asia-Pacific region.

From next month, people in the Philippines will be able to sign up for the Disney+ streaming service. A new set of subscription plans will give them more options than ever before. With a broader range of projects, viewers will have more ways to choose a subscription that fits their needs, such as:

A Mobile Plan
  • ₱159 monthly
  • ₱1,150 annually
A Premium Plan
  • ₱369 monthly 
  • ₱2,950 annually

Disney Plus Mobile Plan has a cost of ₱159 or an annual cost of ₱1,150, however it only allows a single user on a phone or tablet at a time. While, a Premium Plan costs ₱369 per month or ₱2,950 per year and enables up to four people to simultaneously stream videos in resolutions up to 4K on mobile devices, TVs, personal computers, and laptops.

Disney+ will be available on a wide range of phones and TVs, depending on users’ subscription plans. This includes Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, Samsung and LG smart TVs, and connected TV devices like Google TV, Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD, and Chromecast.

Consumers can watch high-quality content based on the subscription plans they choose. Only with the premium plan will they be able to watch up to four streams at once, get personalized recommendations, and makeup to seven different user profiles per account.

On November 17, customers to Disney+ will be given the key to access an exciting and ever-expanding collection of content on the platform.

The service offers feature films, documentaries, live-action, animated series, and short-form material.
