Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation has introduced the LYTIA LYT-818!
This new sensor is part of Sony’s LYTIA brand and offers improved image quality, particularly in low-light conditions.
This sensor is a 50-megapixel CMOS image sensor designed specifically for smartphone cameras.
Key features of the LYT-818 include advanced noise reduction, high dynamic range (HDR), and an Ultra-High Conversion Gain (UHCG) circuit.
The sensor also has a novel circuit design that efficiently converts light into electrical signals, resulting in a leading noise performance of 0.95e- among mobile phone CMOS image sensors.
The sensor’s low noise level and HDR capabilities allow for capturing clearer, more natural images with greater detail in both bright and dark areas.
According to Digital Chat Station, the new sensor from Sony is expected to be first used in the upcoming vivo X200 Pro series, replacing the previously used sensor in the vivo X100 Pro which was Sony IMX989 sensor.
