Smart Roaming Maintaining Load Balance is now Php 50, How to send text for P2 only using TxtTipid

Smart Communication Philippines has lowered the maintaining balance of their prepaid roaming service (Talk’N’Txt, Smart Pinoy SIM, Smart OFW/Marino SIM) once you’re in abroad. For just P50 pesos only, down from P100, you can now enjoy receiving and sending SMS/texts from any part of the world.

Receiving texts will be suspended (Pinoy SIM does not require maintaining balance to receive text) once your load balance is diminished below P50 and if you’re not able to reload within 15 days. Reloading is very easy and how to instruction is shown below.

How To: Reload your Smart Roaming service

• Buy a Smart Prepaid card and text RELOAD + 14 digit PIN to 1510
• Pasaload from the Philippines is also possible as well as reloading via Smart Money
• Alternative is to use *133# by dialing it to check your balance or reload
• Smart Pinoy / OFW / Marino SIM at P100 has consumable load (needs specific Pinoy SIM Reload cards before)
• Text Tipid reload could expire up to 60 days or 2 months, more details here

How To: Register, activate and turn on your Smart Prepaid, Postpaid, Pinoy and Marino SIM Roaming

• Smart Prepaid – Text ROAM ON to 333 (at least 2 hours before departure). Once returning to the Philippines you can deactivate or unsubscribe by texting ROAM OFF.
• Smart Marino/Seaman/Seafarer and Pinoy SIM is preactivated, just use the ROAM OFF to deactivate your SIM and use it here in the Philippines
• Smart Postpaid – Text Get Menu to 9888 for FREE. Use downloaded setting/app menu SIM Connect > Activate or Deactivate postpaid roaming

What are the cheaper rates of texting from abroad using your Smart Mobile SIM

• Regular rates by using the default messaging/iMessage/Messenger/texting app costs around P20 per text (160 SMS character limit) depending on which country you’re roaming on
• P2 (2 pesos) per text to SMART and Talk’N’Txt using TxtTipid – dial *133# from numpad, you’ll need to type fast or just ready your text by pasting and copying as the pop menu shows only for several seconds
• P10 (10 pesos to Globe or TM and other networks using TxtTipid
