With the development of Samsung’s 150MP sensor, the company is aiming for a big improvement with a 250MP for next year and eventually launch its touted 600MP after that.
The 250 MP sensor will be equipped into the Samsung Galaxy phones probably on the upcoming Galaxy S21 or S30. It will be accompanied by other sensors as well and will serve as the main shooter for its flagship lineup.
As for the size, the 1-inch diagonal sensor is the major breakthrough here and it will compete with the pocket camera categories.
In the meantime, Samsung has already launched the 108MP on their Galaxy S20 series. They are also planning to introduce it to more mid-range Galaxy phones this year.
