The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (priced at around P20-25k pesos in the Philippines for the 9.7″ variant) is the successor to the equally awesome Galaxy tab series.
Today, we just unboxed the Galaxy Tab S2 (the model is the 9.7″ variant) and so decided to put up our first impression and unboxing review on the latter. Read further to check out what we had to say on the Galaxy Tab S2.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2‘s retail box contains the unit, together with its built-in 5780mAh battery, instruction manuals, ejector pin, a USB cable, 2.0A power adapter and headphones.
The fingerprint sensor is probably one of the few things you’ll easily notice when looking at the Tab S2 for the first time. Another is its live physical buttons on the side, which looks pretty luxurious.
Exterior-wise, the known plastic back design is gone and is redesigned with metal framing and a soft matte black silicon back.
Handing the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is a breeze, thanks to the 5.6mm thinness (thinner than most tablets) and lightweight body which tips at 389g to be exact.
For display, the 9.7-inch Super AMOLED, 1536p screen looks great on the device, and the 5780mAh battery packed in the Tab S2 (9.7″ variant), is good, but not exactly special in terms of capacity.
The Tab S2 packs a 8MP rear camera that shoots 1440p video and a 2.1MP front facing camera, which delivers satisfactorily shots, yet were not exciting in any way.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is available here in the Philippines at around P20-25K through online stores. Our unit is WiFi version which is P4-5k less from the 3G/4G variant.

Well, just a few questions which I hope you guys in Manila Shaker can answer.
Will there be a new Tabe S3 anytime soon?
Is the WIFI version and the sim card version any different from each other, other the latter having the said sim card provision?
Is is wise to buy one now or just wait for the Tab S3 to come out?
