When Samsung announced the Galaxy A Series 2021 in the Philippines a few months ago, only the Galaxy A52 and A72 got the 5G treatment. But today, Samsung Philippines’ website revealed the official price of the Galaxy A32 5G model. By adding ₱2000 more on top of the SRP of the 4G model, you can get the 5G variant at ₱15,990 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It’s also available in white, black, blue, and violet colors.
Although the Galaxy A32 5G brings a bit of futureproofing to the table, thanks to the Dimensity 720 5G chipset, the rest of the hardware got downgraded.
The 6.4″ Super AMOLED 90Hz of the Galaxy A32 4G is now only a 6.5″ TFT LCD 60Hz on the Galaxy A32 5G. While you can still expand the storage via a microSD slot, it’s now a shared slot instead of a dedicated one. The main cameras on the back are now sporting 48MP wide, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, and 5MP macro (versus the 64MP+8MP+5MP+5MP). The same applies to the 13MP selfie camera instead of 20MP.
On the flip end, the 5000mAh battery stays as well as the 15W adaptive fast charging. Build-wise, the Galaxy A32 5G is heavier and thicker than the 4G model.
