Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 5G Series in China, and under the family are two models — Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. However, this article focuses on the Pro model. You can check the vanilla model by tapping here.
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is a bit different from the Redmi Note 10 Pro 4G with a 108MP camera. Some parts were upgraded while others were downgraded.Â
For starters, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G in Blue and White colors feature vertical patterns on the back, while the Black color sports glistening patterns when hit by light. Although Xiaomi didn’t mention the glass protection of the back panel, the 6.6″ display gets protected with Glass Victus — the strongest glass yet for mobile devices from Corning. While the screen switches between 30Hz to 120Hz, it’s only using IPS LCD with 450 nits typical brightness.Â
Additionally, the 108MP sensor has been swapped out for a 64MP Sony sensor, alongside an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro. The 16MP selfie camera stays, though.
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G omitted the headphone jack in favor of stereo speakers tuned by JBK, and the MicroSD slot is nowhere to be found. Fortunately, the downgrade stops there.
Moving on to the upgrades, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is using Dimensity 1100 SoC with Mali-G77 MC9 for faster and better overall performance. It also brings Wi-Fi 6 and dual-5G standby. While the battery is still at 5000mAh, the charging speed has been upgraded from 33W to 67W, thus allowing the phone to go up to 100% in just 42 minutes. It even supports USB PD 3.0 and Quick Charging protocols.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G comes with a starting price of Â¥1,599(~₱12,000) for the 6GB/128GB, while the 8/128GB and 8/256GB set you back Â¥1,799(~₱13,500) and Â¥1,999(~₱15,000), respectively. We don’t expect the Redmi Note 10 5G Series to hit markets outside China anytime soon; however, we wouldn’t rule out the possibility of Xiaomi boosting its 5G lineups later this year.Â
