Redmi Note 10 5G, 10, 10S, 10 Pro Launched for the Global Market, Starts at ~P9K

In India, there are three Redmi Note 10 devices, namely the Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. But for the global market, there are four models — the same Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 5G, Redmi Note 10S, and Redmi Note 10 Pro that’s basically the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. 

To keep it short, you can check our coverage of the Redmi Note 10 since we’re going to discuss the Redmi Note 10S and Note 10 5G in this article. But as a short excerpt from the global launch, the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s 108MP features a 5MP tele-macro lens.

Redmi Note 10 5G

Starting with the Redmi Note 10 5G, it’s the only 5G-ready phone from the family. It’s running on Dimensity 700 chip, which is an SoC based on 7nm and supports dual-5G standby. The 6.5″ FHD+ DotDisplay supports an adaptive 90Hz refresh rate, going as low as 30Hz. However, the Super AMOLED panel has been swapped out for IPS LCD. The peak brightness is 500 nits, with 400 nits typical. The cameras aren’t as impressive as the 4G model, featuring a 48MP main sensor and a couple of 2MP lenses for macro and depth purposes. Additionally, there are only 8MP selfie cameras. Xiaomi also had to include an 18W fast charger in the box instead of 33W. 

Redmi Note 10 5G starts at $199(~Php9,600) for the 4GB/64GB and $249(~Php12,000) for the 4GB/128GB. Availability will be in April 2021, a month later than the rest of the devices.

Redmi Note 10S

The Redmi Note 10S is similar to India’s Redmi Note 10 Pro which includes the 64MP quad-cameras and 33W fast charger. However, the selfie camera is now of a 13MP sensor, and the display is smaller at 6.43-inch. Though the peak brightness also reaches 1100 nits, there’s no support for either 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the fingerprint scanner is located on the right-hand side.

Instead of using the Snapdragon 732G, the Note 10S comes equipped with an Helio G95 chip, paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. 

The Redmi Note 10S comes in three configurations — 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. The prices are $229(~Php11,100), $249(~Php12,000), and $279(~Php13,500), respectively.

As mentioned earlier, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max with a 108MP camera and 120Hz Super AMOLED is launching globally as Redmi Note 10 Pro, while the Redmi Note 10 retains its name and specs as well.

For the global pricing, the Redmi Note 10 Pro starts at $279(~Php13,500) for the 6GB/64GB, $299(~Php14,500) for the 6GB/128GB, and $329(~Php16,000) for the 8GB/128GB. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 10 starts at $199(~Php9,600) for the 4GB/64GB and $229(~Php11,100) 4GB/128GB. 

There’s no word yet regarding availability and prices in the Philippines.
