Redmi 9 Gaming Review

We tested the new budget phone from Xiaomi–The Redmi 9. The question is can it play in 1080p quality? Surprisingly for the starting price of P6,990, yes it can. Our unit only has 3GB ram and 32GB internal storage and performance can be affected when we run out of storage but we still tried to install as many games as possible and we played the game even with low memory. It turns out great but we did encounter hiccups and some frame drops. The good thing though it is only happening when in max graphics. Our gameplay satisfaction while playing at recommended settings is quite impressive. And what we notice is that in order to have stable gameplay the phone force to compensate on the fps resulting in better stability but with lower fps.

In our video review, while gaming on Redmi 9, we tried and tested 6 different games, NBA 2K20, Honkai Impact 3, PUBG Mobile, Asphalt 9, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Call of Duty Mobile. We also tested the battery endurance and charging time of this device. Directly out of the box we get a free charger but the power brick only offers 10W of charging so we used another charging brick that offered at least 18W and we got 2 different results. Check out the gaming review.

34123Redmi 9 display boasts a 6.53inch FHD+ IPS LCD, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 with Mali G52 MC2 GPU, clocked at 950mhz. It has a large 5020mAh battery with an 18watts fast charge. It is also available in 4GB + 64GB configuration at a price of P7,490. Specs are impressive on its price range we get a 1080P screen in a cheaper device.
