The TRUE Realme 6 Series Successor Is Here
In India, the company launched the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro. Unlike the X7 Series, they are not 5G ready. But, there are more differences than similarities between them. A comparison between the four will come soon, so for now, let’s see what the 7 Series has to offer. For the vanilla Realme 7, it features an Helio G95 chipset with a massive 5000mAh battery that supports 30W charging. The IPS LCD 90Hz screen is back, too. The price starts at Rs. 14999(~Php9,900) for the 6GB/64GB and goes up to Rs. 16999(~Php11,200) for the 8GB/128GB model.
Realme 7 Pro is sporting the same 720G chipset of the 6 Pro, but the panel is of Super AMOLED with a 60Hz refresh rate. Now, that’s a bummer. But thanks to the switch to OLED, an in-display fingerprint scanner is now present. The battery is rated 4500mAh, but with 65W SuperDart Charge and 18W PD/QC support. The price starts at Rs. 19,999(~Php13,200) for the 6GB/128GB and goes up to Rs. 21,999(~Php14,500) for the 8GB/128GB.Â
Prices are before taxes and fees, so local SRPs may differ.
As for the rest, both are packing quad-cameras, featuring 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor, 8MP ultrawide, and a couple of 2MP lenses for macro and monochrome purposes. The 32MP selfie camera on the 7 Pro is a bit upgraded versus the 16MP of the 7. The same goes for the camera modes, such as Starry mode, Ultra Nightscape Video, and Pro Nightscape Mode. As for their design, neither of the two comes with a bold tagline in favor of a two-tone finish.Â
How do you feel about the Realme 7 Series? We think this one is in a weird spot. When you have X7 Series, it’s like there’s no reason for the 7 Series to even exist.Â
