realme has launched its latest addition to the number series in India, the realme 16T 5G, with a tagline “All-Star Battery. Superstar Portraits.”
The realme 16T 5G sports a 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ 1570 × 720 resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It also supports up to 180 Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1200 nits HBM brightness.
Under the hood, it is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. There’s also a large 8000mAh battery capacity with 45W fast charging, which promises to maintain a capacity of over 80% even after 7 years of use. Meanwhile, handling the cooling is a 5300 mm² AirFlow VC vapor chamber cooling system.
The device is equipped with a 50MP 1/2.93″ Sony IMX852 main sensor, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a selfie mirror at the back, while a 16MP Sony IMX480 sensor is at the front.
In terms of design, the realme 16T 5G incorporates a Gleaming Wings Design, which utilizes layers of sparkling, multi-colored crystals on its back cover. The panel reacts dynamically to ambient lighting, creating the illusion of moving, textured sand gradients. It is also rated IP69 pro-level for water resistance and comes with an ArmorShell 4-Layer Drop Protection Structure.
Colors available include Aurora Green, Starlight Black, and Starlight Red.
The realme 16T 5G is priced starting at INR 29,999 (~PHP 19,317.39) for the 6GB + 128GB model and goes up to INR 34,999 (~PHP 22,537.06) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It will be available in India starting May 27, although there’s no word yet on its local availability.
