Qualcomm has recently announced its new addition to the Snapdragon X65. This is the Snapdragon X65 5G 4m Modem-RF System. This is its fourth-generation 5G modem-to-antenna solution. This is also the world’s first 10 Gigabit 5g and the first 3GPP release 16 modem-RF system according to the company.

The upgradeable architecture offers room for enhancements, expandability, as well as customizations in every 5G segments and even enables enormous new forthcoming features, capabilities, and rapid rollout of new 3GPP Release 16 features through software updates.

If paired with the new Snapdragon X65 Modem-RF System, the Qualcomm QTMM 545 mmWave antenna will work way stronger compared with the prior generations. It also offers support for all global mmWave frequencies which includes the new n259 (41GHz) band, n70, and n53, all the while maintaining a small footprint as before.

The Qualcomm 5G Powersave 2.0 builds on a new power-saving technology determined in 3GPP Release which has features such as Connected – Mode Wake-Up Signal. Also, the Qualcomm Smart Transmit 2.0 utilizes the modem-to-antenna system to its fullest by increasing upload data speeds and strengthens coverage for both mmWave and Sub-6 GHz bands all the while keeping up with RF emissions’ requirements.

The company has also announced its Snapdragon X65 5G modem. This will be Qualcomm’s modem-to-antenna solution to better increase mainstream adoption of mobile broadband applications. It will be based on a 4nm processor with new Release 16 power-saving features as well as a tightly integrated modem. The RF modem will offer and even provide superior power efficiency all along having an all-day battery life, which gives 4.4 Gbps peak speed.

Qualcomm’s 5G Fixed Wired Access platform Gen 2

Qualcomm’s 5G Fixed Wired Access Gen 2 platform, can offer business opportunities for mobile operators. This can widen the range for fixed internet broadband for both businesses and homes which will be utilizing 5G network infrastructures because of the fourth-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF System.

It also features the second generation extended- range Qualcomm QTM547 mmWave antenna module, which is a support for the extended-range high power 5G sub-6GHz, the world’s first 5G sub-6 GHz support along with eight receive (RX) antennas, and support for Qualcomm Dynamic Antenna Steering technology.

Lastly, Qualcomm has also introduced a new Snapdragon X12+ LTE Modem for FWA devices which solely rely on 4G networks that are capable to reach of 6,000 Mbps download speeds.

Both the Snapdragon X65 and Snapdragon X62 are at the moment being sampled by the OEMs and we can already expect these to be in commercial use in late 2021. When it comes to the next flagship of Snapdragon SoC, it would be when the next model of iPhone’s would come out.
