Display
In comparison to the 6.43-inch screen of the POCO M5s, the POCO M5 sports a slightly bigger 6.58-inch screen. Though the difference is only 0.15 inches, it won’t be apparent. Although there is just an 8ppi difference, the M5s has a little greater pixel count. Negligible and unnoticeable in normal use, once again. They both have Gorilla Glass 3 as protection.
But the panel utilized will be what people notice. The M5s features an AMOLED display, which generates brighter colors and deep blacks, which is better for watching videos than the M5, which has an IPS panel that delivers realistic colors.
Chipset
The chipsets in the two devices are from MediaTek, however they are different versions. The M5s has an older 12nm Helio G95 with a 2.05GHz octa-core CPU and Mali-G76 MC4 GPU, whilst the M5 uses a newer 6nm Helio G99 with an octa-core CPU running at 2.2GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
