Roku is Finally Localized
PLDT Home has just officially launched Roku Powered™ TVolution – an all-in-one, plug-and-play box that will take multimedia and TV consumption on a whole new level.
Think of Chromecast, but a lot better. Cignal, iflix, Netflix and YouTube can be accessed in just one click, thanks to the dedicated buttons on the provided remote. Other than the four, there are over 100 more free streaming channels.
Existing PLDT Home Fibr subscribers will be the first to be able to enjoy the new Roku Powered™ TVolution for an additional Php 199 per month that includes the Roku device, a trial of the Cignal HD TV Plan 1590, and a built-in iflix subscription.

Ports
The device that was being demoed and shown bears a striking resemblance to the Roku 1, even the remote. However, the ports aren’t the same. The one at the launch event has a USB port, a microSD slot, an HDMI port (version unconfirmed), an Ethernet port and a power-in port.

Aside from the Roku Powered™ TVolution, PLDT also officially introduced to the guests four new services including the Whole Home WiFi Plan, the country’s first all-in-one broadband and a preconfigured Wi-Fi network plan that provides seamless Fibr experience;
the Home Geek Squad a pioneering team of “technical architects” dedicated to PLDT Home Fibr subscribers;
The V-Fibr Plan, which allows existing PLDT Home DSL subscribers enjoy Fibr-fast speeds of up to 100Mbps at home, and;
Fox+, a streaming app where subscribers get access to thousands of hours of HD TV content.
