Panasonic has introduced the TOUGHBOOK 40 Mk2, the second generation of its rugged laptop. Enhanced with better processing power and durability for demanding environments, the Mk2 continues the TOUGHBOOK tradition of being built to withstand harsh conditions.
A standout feature of the TOUGHBOOK series is its modular design. This allows users to easily replace components like the battery, storage, and memory, ensuring the laptop can keep up with changing needs.
The laptop features a 14 inches FHD LCD touchscreen with a major upgrade in brightness. The new screen has a brightness of 1200 nits, making it easy to see even in bright sunlight. The TOUGHBOOK 40 Mk2 is powered by Intel’s new Meteor Lake Core Ultra processors.
It also offers optional 4G/5G network support for reliable mobile connectivity, and it comes with eSIM functionality for more flexibility.
The Mk2 offers several expansion options, allowing users to tailor the laptop to their specific needs. Available slots include space for a second NVMe SSD, a smart card reader, a DVD/Blu-ray drive, an extra battery, a fingerprint sensor, and an RFID card reader.
The TOUGHBOOK 40 Mk2 is now available for purchase, with a starting SRP of $4,699 (around PHP270k). For more information or to buy one, visit Panasonic’s website for a complete list of their stores.
