OPPO attended Qualcomm’s technology summit held in Beijing China yesterday. CEO Tony Chen of OPPO spoke on his company’s plans for the next-generation 5G network standard.
According to CEO Chen, the company has begun its research and development on the 5G network three years ago in cooperation with Qualcomm. In line with this, OPPO will be releasing one of the first smartphones that would support 5G networks. The company also announced that it has joined Qualcomm’s “5G Pilot” program to jointly explore innovations in mobile technology in the era of 5G era.
