OPPO A93 5G Goes Official: 90Hz, Snapdragon 480, 5000mAh, 8GB/256GB for P14K

OPPO A93 5G is one of the 5G phones to receive the Snapdragon 480 treatment, which delivers the next-gen mobile connection at a budget price. However, it also brings trendy features such as a 90Hz refresh rate for a smoother phone experience. But other than those, what else does the A93 5G offers that other phones don’t?

For starters, the 6.5″ IPS LCD comes with an FHD+ resolution for sharp and crisp content consumption. You also get to enjoy the latest Android 11 from Google but in the form of ColorOS 11.1, packed with features and optimizations. 

Much like most 5G phones today, there’s no microSD card slot for expanding storage. On the flip end, OPPO A93 5G comes equipped with 8GB RAM and a spacious 256GB internal storage. There’s an 8GB/128GB base model, but price and availability remain to be seen.

As for the rest of the budget 5G phone from OPPO, the back features three cameras — 48MP f1.8 and a pair of 2MP f2.4 for both depth-sensing. Interestingly, you can record up to 4K@30fps video with EIS in tow. Upfront is an 8MP selfie camera housed inside a pinhole cutout. 

The battery of A93 5G is rated 5000mAh and supports an 18W fast charger. 

OPPO A93 5G comes in black, white, and aurora colors in polycarbonate material. It’ll become available soon in China for CNY 1999(~Php14,800). No word yet regarding the global release. However, OPPO launched the A53 last year in November for Php8,990 — the cheapest 90Hz phone from the company.
