At CNY 1599(~P11,400), OPPO has an affordable phone in the OPPO A52 that already packs 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, a massive battery, and quad-cameras. The package is enticing, especially for those who just want a phone that can last a day, provide decent cameras, and perform reliably. Coming in Blue and Black colors, the device is already on sale in China, and we hope it arrives in the Philippines very soon.
OPPO A52 specs are centered around the Snapdragon 665 SoC. It’s not the most powerful, budget chipset, but the combination of efficiency and power makes hard to beat. And if you’re expecting a low-resolution screen like the one on the Realme 5i, you’re wrong. The A52 is equipped with a 6.5″ IPS LCD panel featuring FHD+ resolution and a pinhole cutout for the 8MP selfie camera. Speaking of cameras, the large module houses 12MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth lenses. There’s no fingerprint scanner on the back as it’s situated on the side. At the bottom, it has the audio jack and dual-linear stereo speakers which are Hi-res certified and Dirac supported.
Last but not least is a massive 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging that charges through USB-C port. There’s something to say about OPPO A52’s RAM and storage combo. It’s not your typical memory pair. The RAM is actually of LPDDR4X while the storage is of UFS 2.1, and these are normally found on more expensive mid-range devices. And if you’re not aware of these two technologies, they make the experience faster and smoother. But what do you think of OPPO A52? Is it worth buying?
