Oneplus Is Turning Into OPPO With the Uncovering of OnePlus Clover for the US Market

First the OnePlus Nord. Second, the switch to Samsung-like skin UI, then the budget, entry-level offering, which is the OnePlus Clover. What is happening with the company that used to be different among other competitors? Well, they’re growing, all right. In an exclusive report by Android Central, the publisher broke to the world the details of the upcoming budget OnePlus phone. Far cry from the “high-end performance, mid-range price” that we’re used to seeing, a different OnePlus is slowly uncovering this year.

At this point, it’s no surprise OnePlus is prepping a budget phone. We’ve reported before about the Aurora that leaked a few days ago. And, we have a good feeling it’s the Clover. According to the report, OnePlus Clover will be priced at $200 in the US or nearly Php10,000 when directly converted to Philippine peso. For that price, don’t expect a 90Hz refresh rate. But instead, a measly Snapdragon 460 chipset boasting efficiency-over-power and a massive 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The cameras are nowhere near mid-range, thanks to the 13MP sensor with two 2MP lenses. What’s more, just a low-end 6.52″ 720p display, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. 

If the offering of the Clover feels familiar, well, check out Realme C12 that got recently announced in the Philippines at P5,990. The difference between the two, however, is the Helio G35 and the lack of fast charging.
