Nothing will be joined by Teenage Engineering as a founding partner of the company. This was announced along with the CEO of Teenage Engineering, Jesper Kouthoofd to be the Creating Lead for Nothing’s designs while Tom Howard will now be Head of Design of Nothing.

In an interview, Kouthoofd expressed his excitement in being part of Carl Pei’s Nothing. He said, “When Carl first told me about Nothing’s vision I remember being super excited thinking about how this would be translated into the design identity of the products. After months of research and development, we are now in a place where I believe we will have something exciting to show to the world.”

Teenage Engineering, a Swedish company based in Stockholm, is widely known for the iconic OP-1 synthesizer. They also have other products which heavily focus on design. Teenage Engineering also collaborates with other brands in designing their products such as IKEA’s FREKVENS and Panic for their upcoming portable console, Playdate.

Nothing is founded by Carl Pei and is a London-based technology company. As of now, there are no products that have been announced but it has been truly busy especially with recent news of its acquisition of Essential’s brand and patents.
