Nokia 1.3 Comes With Pixel Camera

The latest cheap phone from HMD Global is the Nokia 1.3 model. It carries the 3D nano-textured polycarbonate back of Nokia 2.3 which emphasizes rounded edges. But unlike the bigger sibling, the new device is under the Android Go program. This means it’s designed to run the Go versions of Google’s major apps. What’s more interesting is that the company is introducing Camera Go app which is basically the Go version of the Pixel phones’ camera app. This feature isn’t available on any other Android Go phones, so it’s going to be interesting how software can improve the image of a low-hardware device.

For innards, Nokia 1.3 is powered by Snapdragon 215 chipset with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The screen is relatively large at 5.71″ in HD+ resolution. The battery is rated 3000mAh only, but it’s removable. Aside from that, there’s a dedicated Google Assistant button. While the handset is running Android 10 Go Edition, HMD shared that it will receive the next major Android update. Available in Cyan, Charcoal, and Sand colors, the budget phone has a price of €95(~P5,000) and will start selling in April.
