After the announcement of a possible suspension of Roblox in the Philippines, the online gaming platform held a meeting with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Today, the Department of Information and Communications Technology stated that the online platform Roblox will not be banned in the country.

In case you didn’t know, Roblox has been placed under strict monitoring, receiving a warning from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) a few weeks ago.

The decision came after a meeting where Roblox representatives presented updates to government agencies on planned safety improvements.

These include stronger monitoring systems, improved user reporting tools, and more age-appropriate content controls.

In addition, on April 12, 2026, Roblox will conduct an information campaign to strengthen safety measures and guide parents on how to use these tools.

The DICT also reminded parents to use Roblox’s built-in parental control features to help supervise their children’s online activity.

What do you think of this decision from DICT?
