TECNO just launched its newest device in the Philippine market, the CAMON Slim 5G.

Mobile Legends
We started our gaming test with Mobile Legends. The TECNO CAMON Slim 5G had a starting temperature of 36.3°C, with all available settings maxed out for the test.
The game ran consistently smoothly throughout the match, with no noticeable stutters or frame drops. Team fights also remained stable, and the overall gameplay felt responsive. For Mobile Legends players, the TECNO CAMON Slim 5G should have no problem handling the game at maximum settings.
With the maximum available settings, Mobile Legends averaged 84 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 39°C after 10 minutes of gameplay.

League of Legends: Wild Rift
We then moved on to League of Legends: Wild Rift. The phone started at 36.9°C. For the test, we used the custom settings, enabled 120 FPS, and maxed out the other available options.
There were some slowdowns during the opening sequence, while the home screen also felt slightly less responsive. However, performance improved once we entered the Rift. Gameplay remained smooth overall, although it was not as consistent as Mobile Legends and the game felt slightly heavier to run.
With the maximum available settings and 120 FPS enabled, League of Legends: Wild Rift averaged 48 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 39.8°C after 10 minutes of gameplay.

Call of Duty Mobile
Next was Call of Duty Mobile, which started at 37.1°C. We set the graphics quality to Very High and the frame rate to the maximum available option.
Gameplay remained smooth during our test, with no noticeable stutters or frame drops even during gunfights. The only slowdown we noticed happened while booting the game. While the phone did not consistently reach 60 FPS, the overall experience remained smooth and playable.
With Very High graphics and the maximum available frame rate, Call of Duty Mobile averaged 47 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 40.2°C after 8 minutes of gameplay.

Asphalt Legends
For our fourth game, we tested Asphalt Legends. The TECNO CAMON Slim 5G started at 36.7°C, with the game set to the High preset and 60 FPS.
Performance was smooth and responsive during races, with no visible stutters or frame drops. The phone handled the racing game well, making it a suitable option for users who regularly play titles in this genre.
With the High preset and 60 FPS enabled, Asphalt Legends averaged 51 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 49.9°C after 10 minutes of gameplay.

Genshin Impact
We then moved to more demanding titles, starting with Genshin Impact. The phone started at 36.9°C, with the graphics set to Low and the frame rate set to 60 FPS.
Performance in the overworld was generally good, with very few noticeable stutters or frame drops. We did encounter a brief freeze frame while pulling for a character, but the game continued to run normally afterward. Combat performance was also decent, with no major stutters or frame drops when switching characters or activating ultimate skills.
While the game did not consistently reach 60 FPS, performance during combat remained playable and relatively smooth.
With Low graphics and 60 FPS enabled, Genshin Impact averaged 32 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 39.4°C.

Zenless Zone Zero
Next was Zenless Zone Zero, also tested at Low graphics and 60 FPS. The phone started at 37.1°C.
This was where the TECNO CAMON Slim 5G began to struggle more. We experienced frequent stutters and frame drops during combat, particularly when activating skills or when multiple animations were displayed on screen. The unstable performance is more noticeable in a game that relies heavily on quick dodges and parries.
Daily content remains playable, but the device does not provide the level of performance needed for a consistently smooth experience in more demanding combat scenarios.
With Low graphics and 60 FPS enabled, Zenless Zone Zero averaged 23 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 41.4°C after 8 minutes of gameplay.

Wuthering Waves
Our final game was Wuthering Waves. The phone started at 38.2°C, with the game set to Low graphics and 60 FPS.
Performance was generally playable in the first region we tested, although we encountered some stutters and frame drops during both exploration and combat. These issues were less severe than what we experienced in Zenless Zone Zero, and there were no major freeze frames or performance issues that made the game unplayable.
However, similar to Zenless Zone Zero, we would not recommend the TECNO CAMON Slim 5G for users planning to play through the entire story or tackle more demanding endgame content.
With Low graphics and 60 FPS enabled, Wuthering Waves averaged 21 FPS, with a maximum temperature of 41.4°C after 8 minutes of gameplay.

Overall Gaming Performance
Overall, the TECNO CAMON Slim 5G is a capable gaming phone for casual and competitive titles. Games such as Mobile Legends, Call of Duty Mobile, and other lighter titles can run well, even with higher graphics settings.
More demanding games are a different story. While Genshin Impact remains playable at lower settings, Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves showed more noticeable performance limitations. Daily content is still possible, but the phone is not ideal for users who regularly play demanding gacha games or want to run them at consistently high frame rates.
