
POCO has announced that the official launch date of the upcoming POCO M8 will be on January 8 in India.
The brand has already teased the device, revealing its design. It will sport a curved screen and a squircle-shaped camera module at the back. POCO stated that it will be 7.35mm thin and weigh 178g, making it the “slimmest and lightest” smartphone in the segment.
POCO has yet to reveal further information about the device. According to reports, it will be joined by the POCO M8 Pro in the January launch.

Moreover, a premature listing on a Russian retailer has revealed its specs and price. The POCO M8 is listed with a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, a 20MP selfie camera, and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and 5,520mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support.
Meanwhile, the POCO M8 Pro is also listed, revealing a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. At the helm is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. The camera specifications include a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 32MP selfie camera.
The POCO M8 is priced at RUB 26,817 (~PHP 20,128) and RUB 31,167 (~PHP 23,393) for the 8GB + 256GB model and 8GB + 512GB variant, respectively. The Poco M8 Pro with 8GB + 256GB configuration is listed at RUB 36,242 (~PHP 27,201), while the 12GB + 512GB model is listed at RUB 38,793 (~PHP 29,116).
