OnePlus China President Li Jie recently revealed that the brand is working on a new “Turbo” lineup that will “inherit the powerful performance genes” of OnePlus flagships and will lead its class in battery life.
According to reports, the upcoming Turbo smartphone lineup is expected to be released in January, prioritizing raw power and battery life.
Rumors have surfaced revealing that the Turbo smartphone will pack a 9,000mAh battery capacity, which would make it the first in the brand to reach this benchmark. It will beat the OnePlus Ace 6T’s capacity of 8,300mAh, which is the current OnePlus smartphone with the largest battery capacity.
Reports also suggest that it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, similar to the Ace 6T. The Turbo series is also expected to bring two initial models, both with 9,000mAh battery capacities and 165Hz refresh rate displays.
More information will be revealed as the launch nears.
