Samsung is reportedly working on a new hinge design for its future foldable devices, including the next-generation Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold 2nd generation.
According to a report from Naver, the new hinge focuses on a lighter, slimmer design to further reduce the overall thickness of foldable devices.
The technology is currently being developed for use in the second-generation Tri-Fold model.

For standard foldable models under the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, a simplified version of the hinge with minor technical adjustments is expected to be introduced next year.
Meanwhile, the first-generation Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold has reportedly sold out, according to Samsung’s official website in the US.
Availability details for the next version have not yet been announced. Stay tuned.
