Samsung Electronics Philippines and Cignal have officially announced a strategic partnership aimed at integrating Cignal’s content into Samsung’s ecosystem of mobile devices and televisions.

Under the partnership, Cignal’s content from CIGNAL TV, CIGNAL Play, Pilipinas Live, and CIGNAL Super will be available on Samsung mobile devices through the Cignal app. This includes content like blockbuster movies, popular series, live television, sports programs, and documentaries.
Cignal subscribers looking to upgrade their home entertainment or mobile setups can exclusively get bundled offers when they buy Samsung products. This allows them to experience Samsung’s cross-device features beyond entertainment as well as its networked ecosystem of TVs and mobile devices.
Meanwhile, pre-installed content from local filmmakers and artists will be available to Samsung users, highlighting local talent.
The joint venture also extends to the corporate sector to reach more local users in the Philippines, with plans to launch joint packages for business clients and integrated marketing campaigns throughout 2026.
“We are proud to make Filipino programs and movies accessible to as many Filipinos as possible with this partnership,” said Roman Han, President of Samsung Electronics Philippines, adding that the move will help accelerate digital content adoption through their large local device base.
Mediaquest Holdings President and CEO Victorico “Ricky” Vargas highlighted that the move advances their goal of expanding into diverse platforms and content formats that resonate with their viewers.
Both organizations said that they are optimistic about establishing a standard for upcoming partnerships between device manufacturers and content providers.
