Summer is in the air — so is the scorching heat around, and what’s the best way to beat the summer heat but with delightful frosty desserts!
If you are looking for new way to break away from usual treats, don’t worry because MochiCream Café has got your back.
MochiCream Cafe offers a unique treat, the mochicream that is not your ordinary sweet tooth pleaser for it is a special sweet imported from Japan. Fill with special frozen cream (not ice cream) and wrapped with sticky flavored mochi skin.
The first time we got to taste an authentic mochi was when we went to Japan for a tour last year. We were amaze with how the luscious cream gush out of the mochi wrap once you bite into it. Mochi comes in different flavors, and our first try was of a vanilla cream paired with a scoop of matcha-flavore ice cream. (Japanese has great affection for frosty desserts despite the cold weather.)
And of course, after trying mochi we have always been looking for one here in the Philippines – and not just ordinary mochi but authentic one that can pair up with the ones we tried from its home of origin.
Thank goodness, MochiCream Café – the only store in the Philippines that sells authentic Japanese mochi cream, made that possible.
The kiosk offers 29 unique flavors of mochi with price ranging from P75 to P100 per piece. And must try are Sakura, Blueberry Yoghurt, Green Tea, Red Bean and of course the best seller – Apple Pie.
We tried Apple Pie and Blueberry Yoghurt. The frost of the cream is suave unlike ordinary ice creams that can be prickly to sensitive teeth. The mochi is clothed in three layers: the cream as the core, the inner flavor and the outer mochi skin.
Blueberry Yoghurt | Php90
Apple Pie | Php100
Reliving those moments in Japan, we didn’t dare miss their matcha specialty. They offer matcha in different drink course: hot, iced, ice cream and frappe.
The crew suggested for us to try their best seller, Matcha Choco Banana frappe – which we would say is beyond delightful! We’ve always been a fan of green tea treats and we can truly say, this frappe justified our craving.
Matcha Choco Banana | Php165
The kiosk also offers other treats like BaumKauchen, pastries, tarts and Japanese breads.
Aside from the yummy food experience, you’ll get to have a comfy feels while lounging in their full-size single couch.
The coziness will give you a good place to hang out while savoring your sweet treats!
