Well-known Samsung insider, Ice Universe, on Twitter, shared a video claiming two Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra with an “invisible” selfie camera. One is the regular Mi 10 Ultra with a pinhole selfie cutout that’s available in China already, and the other with an under-screen camera technology — a feature that we’ve been waiting for since last year. According to him, Xiaomi announced the third generation of the technology, which he describes to be in a “usable level.” Furthermore, mass production of the under-selfie camera will start in early 2021.Â
Now, there’s no assurance if Xiaomi will ever release to the market that Mi 10 Ultra in the video. But even if that’s not going to happen, we can expect the Mi 20 Series to debut with an under-screen selfie. After all, Xiaomi typically announces its flagship lineup in February.Â
Alas! It took two years, but it seems we’re finally going to see fullscreen displays once again for the mainstream market.
Big news: Xiaomi announced the third generation of under-screen camera technology. The video below is a special under-screen camera version of the Mi 10 Ultra, which has reached a usable level, which is very exciting. This technology will be mass-produced in early 2021. pic.twitter.com/m8bujC2KCs
