MediaTek recently revealed its latest mid-range processor under the 6000 Series, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. It is the successor to last year’s Dimensity 6100+.
The Dimensity 6300 features two 2.4GHz Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocking up to 2GHz.
The chip is manufactured via TSMC’s 6nm process and uses the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. MediaTek claims the new processor provides a 10% increase in CPU performance over the previous model.
Moreover, it supports MediaTek UltraSave 3.0+ technology for energy efficiency, an improved 5G modem, 3GPP Release 16 standard with up to 140MHz 2CC 5G Carrier Aggregation, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, up to 2520 by 1080 display resolution, up to 108MP main cameras.
For connectivity, it supports dual-band WiFi 5 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, L1CA + L5, Beidou, B1I + B2a GLONASS, Galileo E1 + E5a, and QZSS L1CA + L5 NavIC.
The first smartphone to be powered by the Dimensity 6300 is rumored to be released this month, the realme C65 5G.
