At the EduTECH Philippines 2020 conference, LG, one of the pioneers of consumer technology, joined the virtual meeting and presented its idea on how to shape the future of education. As the matter at hand is one of the sensitive topics today, the company is looking to steer the ship of education back, amidst the pandemic. With students and teachers forced to stay, teach, and learn from home, new challenges arise like the reliance on online tools and the learning process itself. Though the Philippines has ways to go, LG believes that it’s important to take that first step.
LG’s presentation during the conference tackled smart classrooms and how it can transform the way students learn today. Since the attention span of most people in the world is getting shorter and shorter, thanks largely in part to smartphones and other mobile devices, LG thinks that interactive screens will pave the way for active learning spaces, regardless if it’s physical or virtual classrooms.Â
That’s where the Interactive Digital Board comes in. The technology promotes intuitive user experience and easier collaboration between the student and the teacher. Much like touchscreen devices, the spacious board comes with advanced touch technology with high-performing SoC to handle intricate tasks. Aside from touch, it can also recognize pen inputs. Provided there’s one huge screen in a spacious classroom, expect high-quality panel from the Digital Board such as wide viewing angles, bright and accurate output.Â
LG’s new business solution is already available for purchase in the Philippines. The 86″ 86TR3GF Interact Digital Board based on Android, but supports MultiOS and Screen Mirroring, is down from Php589,000 to Php294,500. Â
