Lenovo is updating its Legion gaming laptop lineup for 2021, but this time with Artificial Intelligence to further boost the gaming experience. During the event, the company announced the Legion 5, Legion 5 Pro, and Legion 7 gaming notebooks — all three with the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Series CPU and Nvidia RTX 3000 Series GPU.

With the arrival of AMD Mobile CPUs, the 2021 Legion gaming laptops deliver eight high-performance cores based on the Zen 3 Core Architecture. Accompanying those are the RTX 3000 Mobile Series GPUs that feature 3rd Generation Ray Tracing Cores and 2nd Generation Tensor Cores, paving the way for NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 Technology that uses AI to accelerate the laptop’s performance when playing games.

Lenovo shares the Legion 5 Pro and the Legion 7 as the first gaming laptops in the world with 16” Quad High Definition (QHD) displays, allowing you to have a taller and clearer (2560 x 1600 resolution) 16:10 aspect ratio. The displays are also combined with up to a 165Hz refresh rate, 100%sRGB, and 500 nits of brightness. Moreover, both displays have 3ms response times and feature VESA DisplayHDR 400, Dolby Vision and, NVIDIA G-SYNC.

Lenovo has partnered with Harman to offer its Nahimic-tuned speakers with noise suppression feature and Sound Sharing that allows the streaming of audio from a PC to two different headsets without the need for audio adapters.

As exciting as all those features sound, the icing on the cake is Lenovo Legion AI EngineSupporting top-16 AAA games, the AI Engine automatically detects and routs the most-ideal Thermal Design Power (TDP) settings to the CPU and GPU to achieve the maximum frames per second (FPS) in games. For instance, a CPU-heavy game will make the laptop operate with higher CPU wattage and lower GPU wattage to achieve higher frame rates and vice versa. This happens in the background, so all you need to do is to boot up the game.

Better After-Sales Support

The 3-Year Premium Care warranty service that’s bundled together with the notebooks upon purchase consists of solutions that provide an advanced and tailored level of care that reduces downtime, increases efficiency, and keeps customers moving. Included among the offerings that users of Premium Care can enjoy are a 24/7 direct hotline to Specialized Senior Technicians, comprehensive hardware and software support, and an Annual PC Health Check. What’s more, the warranty is already recognized internationally.
