Design

The iQOO Neo 7 and iQOO 9T offer unique designs, with large camera modules and unique color choices. Among them, I favor the iQOO 9T because of its rear cover, which is constructed of two parts of different colors, particularly in the BMW M Motorsport-themed edition, also known as the Legend color choice. It is also made of higher-quality materials, such as glass for the rear (Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front glass) and aluminum for the frame. In addition, the 9T makes a very intriguing addition for gamers, which we shall discuss in the area of this comparison that deals with the display. Last but not least, this phone has the IP52 certification, making it splash and dust-resistant. However, it should be noted that this phone is not waterproof.

Display

The display screen of the iQOO Neo7 and iQOO 9T is identical. It has a 6.78-inch diagonal AMOLED display capable of displaying up to one billion colors, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and HDR10+ certification. It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an in-display fingerprint reader. Unlike the most modern Vivo flagships, this model’s in-display fingerprint scanner is optical rather than ultrasonic. The Monster Touch is an extra display function included with the iQOO 9T. It can recognize the intensity of your finger’s pressure to unlock new instructions while you play. Pro players will find this tool to be quite helpful. The 9T boasts stereo speakers, however, the iQOO Neo 7 only has a mono speaker, which is a significant benefit.

Camera

The iQOO 9T wins the camera comparison due to the inclusion of superior secondary sensors: we have a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide shooter with a 120-degree field of view. The iQOO Neo7 features a triple back camera system that includes the same 50MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter.

Specs & Performance

The hardware on these two phones is their strongest suit. The top CPUs from MediaTek and Qualcomm, respectively, power them. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ platform, constructed using a 4 nm manufacturing process, powers the iQOO Neo7. It features an octa-core architecture with a Cortex X2 CPU operating at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A710 CPUs operating at 2.85 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs operating at 1.8 GHz, and a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. RAM may be increased to 12 GB, and internal storage can be increased to 512 GB. The iQOO 9T’s largest memory configuration is 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, while the CPU is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 manufactured at 4 nm with a maximum frequency of 3.19 GHz. It’s worth noting that the Neo 7 comes with Android 13, whilst the 9T is built on Android 12.

Battery

The iQOO Neo7 has a larger 5000 mAh battery, which provides extended battery life. Thanks to 120W fast charging, the charging speeds are the same.

Price & Availability

In China, the iQOO Neo7 costs around $380 or €380 (around Php22,229), while the iQOO 9T costs roughly $600 or €600 (roughly Php35,099). If we compare the specifications as a whole, the 9T triumphs due to superior cameras.
