Twitter Starts Laying Off Staff in India: Twitter has started letting go of employees in India as part of a global job cut that Elon Musk, who recently bought the social media site for USD 44 billion, told the company to do.
Musk, the wealthiest businessman in the world, started his time at Twitter last week by firing CEO Parag Agrawal, the CFO, and a few other top executives.
After this, the top managers left the company. Musk has started a huge plan to reduce the number of people working for the company worldwide.
According to a Twitter India employee, firing has begun. Some employees have gotten emails about the layoff.

Another source said that the layoffs had affected a “significant chunk” of the India team.
Not all of the details about the job cuts were known right away. When emails were sent to Twitter India regarding the layoffs, they did not respond.
For the safety of employees, Twitter systems, and customer data, the company will close all of its offices quickly.
Twitter had a few problems with the government over free speech. Still, in the email, the company told employees they couldn’t discuss private company information on social media, with the press, or anywhere else.
