Turns out, Apple’s A13 Bionic is too powerful for the small battery capacity of iPhone SE 2020. In GSMArena’s custom battery test, the cheapest iPhone yet garnered 59 hours of endurance. Based on the list, that puts the iPhone SE 2020 way behind old and new mid-range phones. Given Android phones today come with at least 4000mAh batteries, that’s a bit expected. However, there three interesting things to point out here — talk time, web browsing, and video playback.

Using the iPhone SE 2020 as a communicating device, it lasted 10hrs. This shows that the device is better than around 30% of the tested smartphones. Video playback, however, puts the device on a slightly higher ranking — clocking in at nearly 9hrs. Where the 1821mAh battery of iPhone SE 2020 impresses is web browsing. The device is one of the most efficient performers as it lasted nearly 14hrs, beating around 70% of the competition.

The iPhone SE 2020 is one of the most powerful smartphones right now that only retails for P26,490. While you do have to stick with older hardware and features, it’s the cheapest way to get into Apple’s ecosystem with the assurance of long-term software updates.
